State Symphony of Mexico

Founded in 1971 by the government of Mexico and residing in the city of Toluca, this excellent orchestra travels extensively to fulfill its unique mission of presenting music throughout Mexico and the world to create union and identity among Mexican citizens worldwide.  Its broad discography includes works by Mexican and Spanish composers Isaac Albeniz, Joaquin Rodrigo, Manual M. Ponce and Carlos Chavez.  Founding Directory Enrique Batiz has worked with more than 150 of the world's greatest orchestras, including the London Philharmonic, London Symphony, Czech Philharmonic, Dresden Staats, Leipzig Gewandhaus and Moscow Philharmonic.
