On October 25, 2008, Asheville Bravo Concerts produced a special outreach performance for local students by The 5 Browns, as part of our MEPP program.
The performance, which was free of charge, had an exuberant crowd of over 400, from a wide array of local groups-including public schools, Girl and Boy Scouts, Big Brother and Big Sister programs, all WNC Boys & Girls Clubs, many area churches, and numerous others. The 5 Browns, a group of five siblings, each of whom plays a Steinway grand piano, delighted the crowd with songs, lively banter and advice to the aspiring musicians in the audience, as well as taking questions from those in attendance.
This concert was produced by Asheville Bravo Concerts with no further underwriting or financial support from outside source. At Bravo we firmly believe that the youth of our community should have the opportunity to experience, interact with and learn from world-class musical acts such as The 5 Browns, and we were proud to provide this free show, which was attended by many children who would not have been able to otherwise. We look forward to offering more opportunities like this in the future, and welcome your help in underwriting this program. Please contact us directly at our offices if your school, church, or other social organization is interested in participating in the MEPP program please call us at (828) 225-5887, or to support our MEPP program and the youth of our community.
